Rain or Shine?
OR
I can't believe I have only 6 more weeks in Paradise. The time has flown by and dragged by. How does time manage to do that?
Last week I was in Vancouver 10 days of winter. Snow and cold and dreary rain. Ah, Vancouver winter. And now I am back to glorious warm sun. Maybe later I will go to the beach.
But the funny thing is, it was hard to come back. I want to go back to Vancouver. To get on with my life there. To start building a new life. I am anxious to finish this pause in my life. It has been a great pause, with much to learn and many great people to meet and a lot of sunshine and beautiful flowers. And I am ready to go home to dreary Vancouver, rain and all.

white stuff
After seven months of one season, I was looking forward to winter. I was actually looking forward to coming home to Vancouver in January. But snow and freezing cold was a little more than I expected. Now today, today is good. I am looking out a big window, watching people below carrying umbrellas. The sky is dull and soft. I think we finally have a day of rain! Dull, soft, calming Vancouver rain. Not tropical, not humid. Chilling and damp and cold. Who knew that would be exciting?

Leaps and Bounds
I recently related to a friend that in the last 6 months I have acquired:
my first digital camera (and learned how to upload pictures)
my first web photo album
my first cell phone AND
my first experience instant messaging
Happily, I said that I had finally entered the 21st century. The friend smartly answered... perhaps only the 1990's. But I'm catching up. Now I have a blog. Watch me go!
